Animal Rights Foundation Kosovo

Apparently, the biggest risk in Kosovo is not coronavirus (COVID-19). The biggest danger in Kosovo are the kind of people as seen in the video below, who are consciously posing a danger not only to animals but also to humans.

In the video below, we see a dog, who is set ablaze by a malicious person who, if he’s able to commit such a macabre crime against a poor animal, what else can we expect from him?

Unfortunately, the source of the problem is not the criminal in the video. The biggest problem is the lack of a system that has never dealt with educating society about empathy for nonhuman animals.

Cases like this highlight the urgent need to raise public awareness of animal rights and welfare and to update school curriculum with new material that educates and promotes animal welfare in Kosovo schools. A person who makes such a gesture with mockery shall be deprived of his or her liberty immediately because of the danger it poses, as provided by Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Our Foundation will do its utmost to bring the person in question to justice for this ugly gesture and receive the punishment it deserves. We urge anyone with information about this case to contact us via message.

As a reminder: almost daily, livestock animals for human consumption experience horrors and cruelty such as in the case of a burned dog. Their pain must be heard and their killing must be stopped, as well.
