Some time ago, our organization rescued some Pit Bull dogs from dangerous situations where dogs were being used for fights with each other, under the command and organization of their keepers/ownersThe brutal and cruel activity of dog fights in our country, is considered “on paper” as a criminal offense under Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo but unfortunately does not find proper implementation, and mistreatment of animals is not seen as a priority issue neither by the institutions responsible for their protection, nor the justice bodies, nor by the Kosovar society.
Apart from this, our organization has found shelter for some Pit Bull puppies, who were abandoned by irresponsible people.
The tolerance of animal cruelty and abandonment in our country is high and this must change.
Pit Bull puppies in the photos, rescued from abandonment are available for adoption, but only to serious individuals willing to keep and care for a companion animal such as a dog.
