The first meeting of the working group of the Municipality of Prishtina for the management of street dogs was held, where our organization is also a member.

During this meeting, some urgent measures were discussed, such as the continuous castration and sterilization of dogs on the street, to stop their reproduction and increase of their number on the street.

The municipality is committed to take the necessary steps to contract veterinary entities to continue the CNVR project in the municipality of Prishtina.

Our organization has consistently emphasized that castration and sterilization projects must be active at all times to have effect, so we are pleased that the municipality of Pristina is committed to implementing effective and sustainable measures.

Also, the transparent and cooperative approach of the Municipality of Prishtina to civil society and other responsible actors should be an example for all institutions, as it has been proven that without comprehensive involvement and proper monitoring, the implementation of any measure will not have the right effect and will not lead to long-term and lasting solutions to the situation with dogs on the street.
