Our organization, as part of the European network of organizations for the protection of animal welfare and rights, Eurogroup for Animals (EFA)since 2021, has participated in the latter’s annual conference and the annual meeting of all entities as part of the EFA network.

As part of this group, there are also several veterinary organizations that work for the welfare of animals and their rights. In Kosovo we need such organizations as well and we hope that the future generations of veterinarians will be braver and more vocal in the protection and dignified treatment of animals.

It was a pleasure to meet our partners physically for the first time and to share our experiences and work so that animals enjoy dignified respect and the greatest possible protection from all countries in Europe and beyond, such as the Western Balkans in our case.

It was discussed during the conference that many countries still have a problem with the literal implementation of the current legislation and the urgent need for many laws and other legal acts to be advanced for a better protection of animals and their rights.

We are dedicated to work for the legal framework of Kosovo to be improved and implemented seriously by all relevant institutions as this is the only solution for a functional, proactive and accountable system in the field of animal welfare and health.
