The exploitation/use of animals, which are sentient beings, likewise humans – should not happen in this way, without addressing or considering any aspect of their welfare; the best measures should be taken, in favor to the animal, before we use it for useless commercial pleasures/entertainament (since not using them at all, for these illogical reasons, is out of the question for our society).
