I&R OF DOGS WITH KEEPERS (OWNERS) HAS STARTED!

After a long time, the Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) has officially started the project of identifying dogs with microchips and registering them in the national central database within the FVA.

Within this project, dog registration will be offered free of charge for one (1) year by FVA, through veterinary clinics contracted to perform this service.

Also, within the framework of this project, free castration/sterilization for dogs with keepers (owners) will be offered to all those people who wish to castrate/sterilize their dogs.

Registration of dogs as companion animals is mandatory for all dog keepers (owners), therefore we call on all those who keep dogs in their homes to identify them with a microchip free of charge at veterinary clinincs contracted by FVA.

Our organization encourages all dog keepers (owners) to take advantage of the opportunity to castrate/sterilize their dog for free, since in addition to proven health benefits, castration/sterilization also prevents the unplanned birth of puppies, thus preventing the increase of the number of dogs on the streets through abandonment.
