Animal Rights Foundation Kosovo

An information campaign is being launched for the responsible keeping of dogs as companion animals.

Our organization, in cooperation and with the funding of the organization StrayCoCo, has launched an awareness campaign for the citizens of Kosovo.

This campaign will initially focus on conveying the message against the abandonment of dogs, as well as the registration through the microchip of dogs with keepers/owners, as a legal obligation of all dog owners in Kosovo.

In addition, the campaign will also promote the castration/sterilization of dogs, as the most humane method of preventing unwanted puppy births, which in turn results in the abandonment of these puppies on the street.

Abandonment of dogs and uncontrolled breeding are the main sources of the increase of the number of dogs on the street, so through this campaign we aim to spread the message of responsible dog keeping, as well as the legal obligations of dog owners for their companion animal.

In addition to billboards, the campaign will also be promoted through digital monitors, posters, brochures, social media and TV. We will try to distribute promotional materials through all relevant public institutions, especially in cooperation with Kosovo municipalities.
