In the link below, you can read a very good article from Nacionale, which talks about the consequences of ill-educating children, instilling in them the fear of animals, doctors, police, etc.
Many parents, when their child is being loud or does not listen to the parent’s words, try to discipline them by scaring them with words like “you’ll be eaten by a dog (or any other animal)”, “the police will put you in jail “, “the doctor is coming to give you the needle”, etc., which can cause phobias in children.
“In the absence of awareness and proper education, many parents educate their children badly.
Likewise, when they do not know and do not have authority over children to have good behavior, to obey their parents to sleep, to feed or to keep them from getting into trouble, many parents threaten them by scaring them with animals. This also leads to hatred of animals and their mistreatment later, but it also sows anxiety, where as a result, children become violent. Without a doubt, what they experience in the family while growing up, makes them like that when they grow up.”
This phenomenon has caused an extremely large number of people in Kosovo to be afraid and phobia of dogs and other animals, which has often caused incidents between dogs and people on the street.
We urge everyone not to use animals or any other subject to scare children because the fears from a young age can have big consequences later.
