John is placed under the temporary care of BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina.

John, who has been smuggled in Kosovo more than 2 years ago, and who was kept in miserable conditions, has been temporarily relocated under the care of the BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina, after the restaurant where the lion was staying was burned down days ago, and consequently the care of the lion was considerably endangered, although during the incident, the lion was not injured.

The stay at the BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina for Gjoni will be temporary, as we are still waiting for the completion of the procedures for his transfer to one of the permanent sanctuaries of FOUR PAWS.

We are working hard so that all animals in Kosovo to enjoy a genuine and dignified institutional protection and for animal protection to be structured in the state system and further strengthened for the benefit of animals, their habitats and people.
